A night of
comedy with Karen Loftus
She's been called an 'Acid tongued, barracuda brained blonde bombshell'
and she's appearing at the Town Club on November 7
Critics from Britain, the U.S. and Asia rave about the comedy of
Karen Loftus. The Scottish Sun and 'Sexbomb funny girl is a sure
fire hit, set to be one of the first women to break through.' Karen
has already broken through, as The Scottish Herald attests: 'with
her infectious giggle and casual deployment of therapy-speak, Karen
claims to be dumber than a bucket of hair. She ain't though, and
her motor mouthed Schick is sharp and funny enough to draw blood.'

An
international comedian, Karen Loftus is a favorite on the stand
up circuit in Britain, the U.S., Middle East, Asia and Australia.
As the only female to appear at The Singapore Comedy Festival, Karen's
solo stand up 'American Woman' has played to sell-out crowds. As
a comedy performer and write, Karen was the first recipient in the
world of Tennessee Williams' Fellowship Award for the development
of her solo piece 'I'm Not the Blonde You Think I Am.' Her show
at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival was one of just seven
shows out of 1,100 chose as The Critics' choice by The London Times.
Warm and engaging, Karen's act is high energy and hilarious as she
successfully dances the fine line between smart and silly. Her razor
sharp observations, her crazy characters and stories make her a
winner every time.
Working all over the world as a writer/performer in numerous plays,
fringe theatre, festivals and films, Karen recently returned from
a full tour of Korea where she entertained the American troops.
This year her latest show,' American Woman' tours Europe and Asia.
In Fall 2002, a documentary film crew will be following her while
she does her extensive tour of Asia, including the American Club
in Hong Kong.
