Hot Ticket:
Blondes get all the stand up
by Wilson Henry

"Jo's an acquired taste but I can assure you I would rather talk about gender relations than my period and women troubles - that's just not me."
--Karen Loftus

The cute, pert, and very blonde Karen Liftus, ooops Loftus, is as sun-kissed as Californians come. She's left a trail of gasping and gagging audiences in her tours. And she is set to grab her audiences with her quick tongue as she performs The American Woman in KL. Between comments from: 'She looks like a playboy bunny lah!' to 'Can get one ah?' Loftus is going to tit-slap you silly with her material.

"American woman is really about all the countries I have travelled to; about how the people see me and how I see them," describes Loftus. Oh, how sweet - a sweet travelling American Barbie and her travelogue, you might say, until she gets on stage and makes UK's Jo Brand seem blunt.

Critics have been appalled, frightened and mesmerised by her motor mouth, her speed, dexterity and ability to get audiences falling off their seats. One hack even asked her to slip into a red job for photos. He is still reeling over what she had to say. "I hardly think I am Pamela Anderson. I don't have the boobs!"

To make up for that, she diverts attentions and gets everyone laughing. Even the leering heckler.
