Body
Comedy was originally developed for women and children who have
experienced abuse on the body. The goal of the class was to bring
the participants back to a state of child like joy. Karen’s
been called a “Rebel With a Cause” by CNBC, “A
Woman to Watch” by MS Magazine and “Excellent”
by Fit Magazine. Karen has taught thousands in the non-profit sector,
in shelters, centers and in the prison system in the US and abroad.
Due to the overwhelming success of the class, she has since conducted
workshops at several universities and corporations around the world.
Body Comedy
for the Corporate Sector has been tailored to meet the demands and
needs of the corporate marketplace. By releasing stress and tension,
the individual is able to go back to work meeting demands more effectively
and with ease. With an increase in personal power, productivity
and creativity, they are able to think quicker on their feet, applying
these skills to higher sales, more dynamic presentations and more
effective communication within the company and in their field.
As Body Comedy
is experiential, the participants will learn by doing. In stepping
out of their comfort zone, they will learn through play, how to
work independently and synergistically, learning leadership skills
and teamwork. They will take risks going both for their own individual
goals and for common company goals. The exercises are mirrors to
be taken back into the workplace and into their lives.
Most importantly,
Body Comedy will create an increase in morale as the participants
are brought back to a state of childlike joy bringing humor and
levity back into the workplace and into their work.
If your conference
is in need of a stress releaser or a shake up, then Body Comedy
is the perfect break enabling the individual and the group to get
out of their heads and back into their body, clearing away the clouds,
allowing for the absorption of information after the Body Comedy
workshop. WITI, Women in Technology International used Karen and
her Body Comedy workshop for this purpose.
Jenny Jacobson from Raytheon said, “It was the best way to
finish my two day event. We all laughed a lot and got in touch with
our bodies and our breathing. Thank You!” Kai Ling from IBM
said, “This is a good session. I think we need it every day
of the conference. Learning how to click up the corporate ladder
is important, but it is also important t learn how to relax.”
Donna from WITI said, “Lots of fun. Great idea for a conference
break.”
If your staff
is in need of a morale boost, as were the surgeons at Children’s
Hospital in Los Angeles, Karen and her Body Comedy workshop are
just the ticket for a great break and a well-needed release.
If your company
is simply looking for a laugh, for a fun and effective workshop
to create immediate alliances and bonds within a department, a region,
for a national or international conference, then the Body Comedy
is a can’t miss. It is the perfect choice for your company
or conference as Karen has travelled the world, throughout the US,
Europe, Asia and The Middle East as an international comedian. She
is very adept at working in the international marketplace with a
cross-cultural audience. That is why Karen Loftus and Body Comedy
for the Corporate Sector are a favorite, both nationally and internationally
on the stage and in the corporate marketplace.
